PREPARING YOUR FILES BEFORE SENDING FOR ACRYLIC PHOTO MOUNTS.
Files must be in a “single” format that we can simply download to the printer. Send your files sized labelled as a result they need to match your order.
File formats accepted are PDF, RAW, HEIC, TIFF, and JPEG.
The file should be the exact size that the finished piece will be after it is cut down, for example, No crop marks or registration marks should appear.
While the Digital Printer does an adequate job of converting RGB colours to CMYK, we print RGB.
If you are printing for exhibition or explicitly an extensive collection; with this in mind, we are happy to provide you with test prints.
Our colour calibration can be found on our website. Colour profiles for soft proofing can be downloaded on the colour profiles page.
TIFF OR JPEG INFORMATION FOR ACRYLIC PHOTO PRINTS
Although any resolution will actually print (with varying degrees of quality), the recommended resolution of TIFF and JPEG files is 300 dpi.
Colour mode should be RGB. Raw files when shooting in a format like JPEG, image information is compressed and lost.
Because no information is compressed with RAW, you’re able to produce higher quality images as well as, correct problem images. Ultimately that would be unrecoverable if shot in the JPEG format. We can convert your files from Raw to Tiff or Jpeg for printing or send your files converted.
