WHAT IS BLOCK MOUNTING SYDNEY?

Block mounting is a process of mounting or sticking any print, digital artwork or poster to a solid backing board allowing your artwork to hang with a frame-free finish. Block mounting Sydney is an affordable alternative to framing your picture. Posters, digital files can be block mounted on several mediums including composite, foam core or go for the spectacular acrylic wall mount or blocks.

IS BLOCK MOUNTING GOING TO WORK FOR YOU AND YOUR BUDGET

Furthermore, the finish is smooth because the boards are super flat; the poster or artwork is mounted on the flat surface.  The edges are cut to the exact size of the artwork then it gets a laminate seal over the artwork for protection.

Foam board – this foam board, or foam core as framers call it, is available in various thicknesses. Framers often use 3mm or 5mm thick foam core. Foam core is very lightweight but tends to bow – and who wants their favourite poster or print hung with a curve along with it? It’s a great temporary inexpensive way to mount the artwork. Acrylic mounting is crystal clear and custom cut and the best option for longevity.  This process is when the digital image print adheres to the acrylic called Face mounting. The process works best with a smooth gloss print – not all posters and paper textures can adhere to acrylic.
